Long Time No See - I came back...

Hi everyone,

Most of you get shocked when you receive this e-mail. I know that. :)

Maybe some of you don't remember when you shared your e-mail address with me. It has been a long time. But I didn't buy an email list and import all of them to this newsletter.

Let's get back to 2015. At that time, I launched Best Articles of Medium, and you subscribed to our website to receive the e-book we created, including the top recommended articles of Medium writers. The website is still live, so if you want to check it, here is the link. And here is the Medium article we published.

After 2015, it was like a rollercoaster for me. I worked for a SaaS company - Prisync - as a growth manager between 2015 - 2017 and then burned out. Got a one-way ticket to SEA. I stayed there for three months, tried lots of new things, and experienced hiking/monastery sessions and so on... Most of the time questioned my previous choices.

I returned to Turkey in 2018 and started working for an e-commerce company - edelkrone - as a marketing guy. It was stressful, controlling $100K monthly, all of the partnerships, and email campaigns, being responsible for side projects and living in a city I hadn't been to before. So, I had nothing to do except work.

I couldn't resist that for so long and resigned after 13 months. Provided consultancy services to companies in b2b / b2c spaces for a while and started to work for another SaaS company - UserGuiding - as a sales guy and shifted to different roles while I was working.

Nowadays:

Currently, I am running an NGO in Turkey - Sıfırdan Globale - and we aim to teach digital core competencies, especially content creation, to youths. Twenty volunteers are working for our NGO, and in 1 year, more than 1.000 university students registered for our boot camps. Firstly, we want to focus on students who speak foreign languages in Turkey and improve their digital skills. Each year, more than 30.000 students graduate from departments related to foreign languages, and they are a massive potential for us.

Get to the point, why are you sending this?

So, this is like a summary of the past seven years. I wanted to start a newsletter to share my experiences in online marketing, sales, and business development, including tools / some tips & tactics, and checklists I created. Once in two weeks, you will receive one helpful piece of information related to online marketing, sales, and business development.

I thought that you might be interested in receiving those newsletters, so that's why you are in. The first issue will be published next week on Sunday.

Just to give you an idea about how it looks:

Online Marketing:

Some of you may experience how threads are popular on Twitter nowadays. I think Twitter highlights threads to increase the time you can spend on Twitter. So, if you want to try creating threads to increase your followers; you can use tools like Typefully and Hypefury. With those tools, you can schedule each of your threads.

By the way, you are more than welcome if you want to unsubscribe. No hard feelings!Ps: If you want to check my bio, here is my website.
