Hey guys, the Marketing Millennials podcast continues to be our sponsor this week. Thanks to Beehiiv's ad network. It seems like they are content with our performance.
So, today I will talk about scraping and automation tools that save considerable time.Maybe you heard of some of the tools like PhantomBuster, Botster and Bardeen.Let's check how each different team can use them.
And my new year gift will be delivered in the next issue. Sorry, but I couldn't make it ready for this one.
A marketing newsletter you absolutely need
Working as a marketer is kind of weird. Your job is literally to master the art of getting people’s attention – easier said than done.
So, is it possible to capture the attention of someone whose job it is to capture attention?
We’re about to find out.
Each week, Daniel from Marketing Millennials send you a fun, unfiltered email with the strategies and insights behind some of the coolest brands from around the world.
Online Marketing
With the help of those tools, you can quickly notify your teammates when there are any updates related to your top keywords, target audience or competitors. For example, Bardeen checks tweets, including a specific keyword and saves them to Google Sheets. Here is the playbook.
I couldn't get a chance to try playbooks related to marketing on Bardeen, but plenty of them exist. Here is the link to their page.
Online Sales
PhantomBuster and Bardeen collect the followers of your shared Instagram / Twitter account. You can check those bots if you want to reach your competitors' followers for an outreach campaign.
Instead, there are many solutions for LinkedIn. For example, you can save LinkedIn group members to Google Sheets through Bardeen. Another tip for outreach. And not only for sales teams. Marketing teams can export group members to invite each of them to the event they might organize.
Or, you can export people who work for your targeted companies by sharing the job title you want to focus on. For instance, if you would like to reach out to product managers who work in technology companies on your list, you can find them through PhantomBuster or Botster. (1,2)
Business Development
In terms of business development, I will mention another tool that sales teams can also benefit from. The name of the solution is SimilarTech, a spin-off company of SimilarWeb. With SimilarTech, you can track the tech-stack updates among your competitors. If they stop using one of the solutions, you will be notified. In that case, your sales team can get an action.
The image above shows that Spotify removed five technologies from their stack last month.
In addition to this, you can also see the number of subscribers of each solution. For example, if you want to outreach the subscribers of Stripe; you can see the whole list and find the related person through solutions as I mentioned above under sales part.
Question for you:
